Game management is the primary use of 20% of Scotland’s land and is a significant activity on the agricultural and forestry land which occupies a further 75% of the Scottish countryside. The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust’s Scottish Conference 2010 will celebrate this investment by presenting its latest research findings to delegates and supporters on topics such as Atlantic salmon declines, woodcock and red grouse management. In the International Year of Biodiversity this conference will mark the important contribution that land management in Scotland makes to the biodiversity of the uplands.
