Predation control law and best practice

A half day course that addresses the legal aspects of snaring and best practice, in particular this focuses on the results of recent GWCT research and trials which have provided substantial improvement in snare design and welfare.

Providing practical guidance on some of the latest developments in trapping and fox snaring hardware. The courses will result in a certificate of attendance which can be useful in the event of attempted prosecution.

The topics covered are:

  • Snaring and the law (including code of practice)
  • Snare design - the law, advice, new technology and best practice
  • Equipment and preparation
  • Snaring in practice including non-target considerations
