Woodcock make their move across Europe

By Chris Heward, Wetland Research Assistant

We’re receiving plenty of fresh location data from our satellite tagged woodcock with a number of them already heading east, including three of our newly tagged birds.

Knepp, Doc and Ruan have headed north east to Scandinavia whilst Monkey IV and new birds Nellie II and Sir John have made it furthest east and are close to the Russian border.

The data’s coming in thick and fast at the moment so we’ll keep you posted with any updates. To get the latest news follow the Woodcock Watch project on Twitter - @WoodcockWatch
