Tickets please for sporting prize of a lifetime

Past winners of the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust’s annual Grand Grouse Draw have waxed lyrical of their amazing prize – not quite believing they have won the opportunity to experience one of the UK’s top sporting challenges.

GWCT is now giving you the chance to win a thrilling day’s driven grouse shooting for eight guns at Horseupcleugh grouse moor in the Lammermuir Hills during the 2016 season.

The fortunate winner of this draw will be able to invite seven friends to enjoy the most memorable, exciting and fully challenging sport on offer over Horseupcleugh grouse moor in Berwickshire.

Professional loaders can be provided on request, adding to the excitement of the Exocet grouse coveys which can approach the Guns at over 80 miles per hour! Lunch will be provided on the day.

By separate arrangement, the winner can stay in the most comfortable accommodation imaginable in the Estate’s own shooting lodge, set within the very attractive rolling hills of the Dye Valley - a Special Area of Conservation. The talented in-house chef is renowned for delicious food with estate wine available by request. Kennels are well located beside the lodge and duck flighting can also be arranged.

Tickets cost just £2 each – available in books of 20. To purchase, please email: gwctscottishdraw@gmail.com or visit: www.gwct.org.uk/grandgrousedraw

The draw will take place on 11 December 2015. Proceeds of this draw will support the work of the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust.

Notes to Editors:

Horseupcleugh

Affectionately and locally known as ‘Horsey’, this delightful and professionally managed grouse moor covers a magical 2,650 acres. The Lammermuir Hills have long been famous for their exceptional grouse moors with virtually no tick, and Horseupcleugh lies in the heart of the very best of the area. The moor has prolific grouse producing neighbours immediately to the south, west, north and north-east.

Two exceptionally motivated and well-resourced gamekeepers manage the moor, ensuring that visiting guests enjoy their days to the full as well as seeing a terrific diversity of wildlife which thrive in the constantly improving habitat. There are 11 lines of butts that allow unique and fantastically exciting sport in all winds.

Terms

The date of the shoot day will be during October 2016 when driven grouse are at their sporting best, depending on July 2016 grouse counts and by prior arrangement with Horseupcleugh Estate. If grouse stocks don’t allow shooting, the day will be carried forward to the following season. The winner of the draw will need to agree the date of the shoot before the end of February 2016.
