Research & surveys

The Trust conducts original applied science. Our ecological studies are field-based, and published in peer-reviewed journals.

An independent Scientific Advisory Committee, which reports to elected trustees, is responsible for maintaining the high scientific standard of our research. Research projects are funded by membership subscriptions, donations, sponsorship and research contracts. Steering committees with outside advisors and trustees guide the direction of the research programme.

If you are interested in our scientific research you may wish to come to our Research Conference, being held on 25th October. The conference aims to act as the catalyst that will mobilise action by conservationists, farmers, policy makers and all those with an interest in hitting our future conservation targets.
