Soil research at The Allerton Project

Correct soil and nutrient management is important for crop establishment and production.   As crop profit margins are squeezed, the need for informed management of the natural resorces available to the farm become paramount.  Inappropriate management of soil and nutrients leads to environmental problems through the loss of soil and nutrients to water courses.
