Songbird research at The Allerton Project

Songbird numbers showed a remarkable increase in response to the game management system, while numbers remained stable at low levels on other local farms.  Nationally declining species benefited most.  Predator control was stopped in 2002 in order to assess the contribution this form of management made to game and other wildlife.
