This year we are launching an annual photographic competition in memory of Julian Gardner, a Sussex farmer and lifelong supporter of the Trust, who was tragically killed.
A very kind donation from Julian’s family and friends has enabled us to buy two trophies that will be awarded to the winners each year at the CLA Game Fair (to be awarded for the first time in July 2012). The competition is open to everyone, not just our members, and is related to our research and advisory work – taking in all aspects of the countryside, including the people who live and work there, game, wildlife, all the various habitats and of course landscape.
There are two categories:
The top three winning photos from each section will be printed in our membership magazine Gamewise and featured on our website. The images will be judged by world renowned professional photographer Laurie Campbell, Peter Thompson (GWCT Biodiversity Advisor) and Louise Shervington (GWCT Publications Editor).
Simply email your images to photocompetition@gwct.org.uk by midnight 31 May 2012
