East Anglian Grey Partridge Group

Wyken Estate, Stanton, Suffolk
Wednesday, 8 September, 5pm

By kind permission of Sir Kenneth Carlisle.

Grey partridge

When providing refuge, nesting cover, insects for chicks and winter seed, year round habitat is critical to conserve Grey Partridge, whether for retaining one or two pairs or creating a harvestable surplus.

Wyken Estate have provided all these habitats within a very successful ELS/HLS agreement and this farm walk provides the opportunity to learn how these habitats are created and managed to benefit grey partridges and other wildlife on the farm. Wyken Estate comprises a 1,100 acre arable farm with a wild bird shoot, renowned restaurant, vineyard, farm shop, gardens and farmers market.

Refreshments kindly provided by Sir Kenneth Carlisle and our sponsors, Castleacre and Carter Jonas.

Places are limited so booking early is recommended.
