Date: Wednesday 23 May 2012
Venue: Hill Farm, Barton Bendish, King’s Lynn, Norfolk PE33 9DN
Time: 5pm
By kind permission of Albanwise Ltd
An exciting opportunity to tour the farmland at Barton Bendish where a sustainable grey partridge shoot has been developed from scratch in under five years. Grey partridge numbers have been built up through efficient game management within a productive farming environment. A new HLS agreement went live in early 2012 which will hopefully increase partridge numbers further.
There will be opportunities to discuss predation control, farming and environmental stewardship for grey partridges with the estate managers, gamekeeper and game cover specialists, as well as updates on grey partridge counts and latest news from GWCT Scientists and Advisors. The farm tour will be followed by complimentary refreshments at the local pub.
There is no fee for this event, but booking is essential as places are limited to 50.
To book a place either book online: www.gwct.org.uk/courses; or contact Lynda Ferguson by email: lferguson@gwct.org.uk or telephone: 01425 651013.
