But catching this number of young fish on the River Frome in Dorset this autumn is no dream, it is part of a unique research project being run by scientists from the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) who have spent the past 40 years helping to unravel the mystery surrounding the dramatic 70 per cent decline of this iconic fish.
