MAXIMISE the benefit of the scheme to your farm business, the wildlife on your farm and your shoot by finding out about the new Countryside Stewardship Offers at a course being held by the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust.
The course will take place at the Allerton Project on February 27th which will look into the four new offers introduced by Defra yesterday for farmers and land managers to boost biodiversity and help protect and enhance farmland and the countryside. These include Online Arable Offer, Lowland Grazing Offer, Upland Offer and Mixed Farming Offer, all of which have been welcomed by GWCT and will provide tailored options covering the full range of different farm types.
Run by the Allerton Project team, with valuable input from Kings, the course will also allow farmers to look at scheme options in practice, from positioning, choosing the seed mix, establishing the option and option management.
This will be followed by a guide on how to complete the application process.
