In accordance with the new AIHTS legislation which came into effect on Wednesday 1st April, NRW have published two general licences for stoats; to protect livestock and to conserve wild birds.
We have worked closely with NRW and are pleased to see two licences which appear to be simple, straight forward and most importantly workable.
Stoat Licences
Natural Resources Wales has published the General Licences for Stoats as follows:
· GL019 To trap Eurasian Stoat to prevent serious damage to livestock >
· GL020 To trap Eurasian Stoat to conserve wild birds >
