The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) is hosting a very exciting Storytelling Festival on the theme Listen to the Land at the 33rd GWCT Scottish Game Fair as part of the national Year of Stories initiative. An array of authors, scientists, and knowledgeable speakers have been gathered to celebrate the countryside, reflecting on halcyon days from the past and current work being done to protect the land for future generations. They will be exploring topics such as art and adventure, food, farming and folklore, conservation, climate change and culture. Listen to the Land is sponsored by NatureScot and Bidwells.
Talks will be hosted by, among others, Linda Mellor, Louise Gray and Guy Grieve across the weekend in our Adult’s Hive, with child friendly stories and workshops also happening in our Children’s Nest, and a number of specialist talks in our GWCT Working Conservationists marquee. All venues will be located around the GWCT central exhibit by the main arena on the fair site in the grounds of Scone Palace, Perth.
