Abstract

This paper examines some techniques currently in use for radio-telemetry for gamebirds, describes the available equipment and suggests how these techniques can be used more profitably. An understanding of the potential of this method is useful for scientists studying galliforms, but particularly so for those in countries where habitats are threatened and detailed information is urgently needed.
