Taylor’s Port X GWCT Collaboration Event in Hereford

Taylor 's Port Event 2Written by Iona Campbell, Senior Events & Partnerships Manager

The GWCT held a wonderful gathering in Hereford in March as guests, supporters, and friends came together to mark the exciting collaboration with Taylor’s Port. Hosted at the historic Green Dragon Hotel, the evening offered a delicious Port (and chocolate!) tasting and drinks reception that perfectly reflected the heritage and craftsmanship behind the Taylor’s name.

The event celebrated a generous initiative launched by Taylor’s Port in partnership with The Secret Bottle Shop. Going forward, 5% of all Taylor’s Port purchases, made either online or in-store at The Secret Bottle Shop, will be donated directly to the GWCT. This contribution will support our ongoing work in conservation, research, and the future of game and wildlife management.

"We were delighted when we were approached by Taylor's Port to have a collaboration with GWCT. We're a long established family firm in Herefordshire with big ties to the countryside and are very much embedded in countrylife. Taylor's Port has always been my favourite port, amongst the wide range of wines that we stock, so when the opportunity came to work together on this collaboration we were literally over the moon," said Edward Symonds, Secret Bottle Shop.

For anyone wishing to enjoy Taylor’s Port while supporting the Trust, simply purchase through The Secret Bottle Shop and quote “GAME” at checkout to ensure the GWCT receives the donation.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Taylor’s Port and The Secret Bottle Shop for their generosity. With such strong support, we hope to see this initiative flourish and inspire similar partnerships across the country.
