Hihfours 600

Win a day for eight guns on four outstanding Somerset shoots

This draw is now closed. It was won by Jamie Strong from Dawlish in Devon with winning ticket number 103. The draw was made by Melanie Gibbs at Hatch Court, Hatch Beauchamp on 11th September.

A day's superior shooting for eight guns on the Triscome, Wood Advent, Vellow Wood, and Harwood Shoots including country house accommodation, dinner and breakfast.

The day will be offered on 4th December 2019. Tickets £100. Strictly limited to 150 tickets. The draw will take place on 11 September 2019. The four drives are:

  • Coach Road at Triscombe
  • Cliff Wood Drive at Vellow Wood
  • The Bowl at the Wood Advent Shoot
  • Larches Drive at Harwood

The Drives

Coach Road at Triscombe. A challenging drive located at the head of the Crowcombe Park Valley with birds being driven form the edge of the top of the Quantocks down over the valley below. Traditionally one of the finest and most challenging drives on the Triscombe Shoot and, on a good day with the right wind, a drive to equal Exmoor's best. This remarkable drive will make a significant statement to start a unique day's shooting otherwise unavailable at any price or at any time.

Cliff Wood Drive at Vellow Wood. On a family shoot and set in a wide valley, this drive presents high, challenging birds that test the best.

The Bowl at the Wood Advent Shoot. A classic high-bird Exmoor shoot near Roadwater where the legendary Bowl Drive produces astounding birds out of a natural bowl, with the back-drop of Exmoor National Park behind.

Larches Drive at Harwood. Harwood is a family shoot with breathtaking views across the Vale of Taunton towards the Quantock and Blackdown Hills. Larches produces fast, challenging birds flying across a deep wooded combe. Sometimes known as the professionals' graveyard.
