A wonderful opportunity to visit this beautiful farm and shoot. Current holders of the East Anglian Partridge Trophy, Jonathan Minter and ‘keeper Robert Graves will explain how through a combination of habitat improvement, gamekeeping and careful re-introduction of grey partridge family groups they have successfully restored a viable population of partridges on the farm.
The farm covers around 1100 acres growing barley, wheat, sugar beet, onions, potatoes and also cricket bat willows. After starting the project 8 years ago autumn numbers now stand at around 150 to 180. Roger Draycott, Head of GWCT Advisory will be on hand to provide updates on latest GWCT partridge research and advisory issues.
