Gun DogThe popular West of England Game Fair will be taking place at the Royal Bath & West Showground on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th March. Now in its 21st year, the show caters for all those who are passionate about fieldsports, with a particular focus on shooting, gundogs and fishing.

The show will play host to an exciting selection of have-a-go activities including archery, air rifles, Terrier and Lurcher shows, a family dog show and clay shooting with Bristol Clay Shooting.

There will also be fascinating indoor and outdoor demonstrations featuring top names from the worlds of falconry, wildfowling, ferreting, gundog training and fly casting, all providing a real insight into a range of countryside issues and sports.

The show will welcome over 300 companies selling a variety of great products, ranging from country clothing, guns and shooting accessories, fishing, deer stalking equipment, gundog equipment, county homewares, local food and drink and crafts.

In addition to the great shopping that will be available, the Taste of Game cookery theatre will play host to a number of chefs who will demonstrate how to create some delicious and easy to follow recipes. A number of local companies will also be selling the best in Westcountry food and drink.

A number of countryside organisations will be on hand to offer their unique expertise and advice including Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, National Gamekeepers Association, British Deer Society, Pass it on Young Sports and BASC.

Finally, if you’d like to take a trip back in time there will also be a display of vintage tractors, vehicles and farming equipment to really get the nostalgia flowing.
