Those of you who made it to the magnificent Hatfield House Game Fair, and who visited the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust may well have noticed my new Shoot Centrepiece. If you managed to stop and have a closer look, then I thank you for your time and your interest. This new product is such an important addition to my collection that it required extra attention and imagination when creating the marketing material … hence the rather unique location for the product images!
The concept for the Shoot Centrepiece came from a “seed of an idea” planted in me by a member of the GWCT membership team earlier this year. My shoot photo storybooks are generally ordered by individual clients who have a special shoot day coming up and want a permanent memento. I love the process of producing a set of special books for my Client, but I am always aware that there may be services that I could be offering to the shoots themselves.
That is where the Shoot Centrepiece comes in. Aimed at the more commercial shoot, who will probably have many different guns coming through the door of their shoot lodge on let days throughout the season. This very special product demands the very best craftsmanship, the utmost care and attention to detail and offers those shoots a truly bespoke framed “talking point” to take pride of place in the lodge.
A bespoke Ordnance Survey map, centred on the very heart of the shoot, and surrounding that in the frame are images of the main drives, the shoot highlights or specific landmarks. These images will have been taken by myself, in or out of season, taken during a special commission with purpose of creating the Centrepiece, or can be created with images captured during a previous or recent Clients shoot.
It will help you describe the shoot to you Clients, will help you can explain the topography of the drives they are about to embark on, or can serve as a review of the drives they have just completed. A truly bespoke product that will grace any shoot lodge, and so bespoke that it can tailored to your requirements and will “evolve” over time with new ideas as they come.
