Keepers -logoSince May 2010 WL Duffield & Sons Ltd have owned, manufactured and distributed Keepers Choice throughout the UK.

Founded in 1890 Duffields is a family-owned business and still maintains its core values of tradition, respect and trust.

The Duffields Group currently produces over 250,000 tonnes of compound feed spread between ruminant, pig, poultry and game feed. Our head office is at Saxlingham, Norfolk, however Keepers Choice is also made and delivered from other Duffield’s mills in Kent, Somerset and Devon.

The Duffield sites are fully approved and compliant with the Universal Feed Assurance Scheme (UFAS). In addition to UFAS, all sites are regularly audited by VMD (Veterinary Medicines Directorate), DEFRA, Trading Standards plus additional bodies including major food retailers. Quality is ensured throughout all the production feed processes and full traceability is met by a robust and comprehensive control system.

Keepers Choice is made to rigorous nutritional standards that produce birds that are fit but not fat, well feathered, alert and of uniform size. The success of rearing game birds is becoming ever more challenging and stress from any source will put at risk the desired outcome. To help the bird make the most of Keepers Choice Feeds, certain additives are incorporated into the range as standard to ultimately promote feed safety and hygiene, gut health and consequently digestibility, and feed efficiency.

Using good quality raw materials is vital to provide essential nutrients to the birds to promote growth and development, this alongside health promoting additives can have a beneficial effect on bird performance.

Keepers Choice has been over many years an important partner for The Game Farmers’ Association and continues to be the sole sponsor of the Game Farming Guide.

As Corporate Partners of Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, Keepers Choice also sponsor The Allerton Project at Loddington, Leicestershire, various GWCT fund raising events around the country and will also be present at GAME 18 on Thursday 1st March at Burgate Manor, Hampshire.

Keepers Choice is currently holding a competition for the best photograph by a gamekeeper, with some excellent prizes on offer. Please see details on website, add us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.
