Zoom meeting invite: gathering data on farms and shoots

Gathering data on farms and shoots to demonstrate the influence of practical habitat and wildlife management on the status of our precious flora and fauna has never been more important.

New technology, including the use of mobile phone apps is making this task easier for farmers and ‘keepers out on the ground and the data can now be recorded as part of the daily routine.

We are holding a joint event with the National Gamekeepers’ Organisation and the Moorland Association on Zoom between 4pm and 6pm on Monday 21st June. The seminar will feature Roger Draycott, Director of Advisory and Education at the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust on the current General Licence situation and how the provision of evidence can support future licence applications. This will be followed by a demonstration of the evidence gathering App developed by Oliver Dale and his team at Merit Nature App.

Please contact berni@moorlandassociation.org if you are interested in attending the seminar.
