We recently launched our 2022 Gun Draw, where you can win a pair of Bespoke William Powell Sovereign shotguns worth £14,000 plus a day's driven shooting.
Stuart Loudon was the lucky winner of our 2020 Gun Draw, winning a pair of made-to-measure William Powell shotguns and cartridges. Stuart said:
“I am absolutely delighted with the guns. They are stunning! The work that has gone into them is beautiful. I particularly like the engraving on them as well, the detail is fantastic.
I’ve already taken them to the clays and thankfully I managed to hit a few, which is always good! The moment I mounted the gun to my shoulder for the first time it felt so natural. I put this down to the fact William Powell made these to measure for me. I look forward to enjoying some trips to the clays during the coming months in preparation for this years game season starting.
It was November 2020 when I received the email telling me the news. Obviously that was not a nice time for anyone, as we were in the middle of the pandemic, but wow, what a feeling when I found out! The email didn’t just make my day, it made my year! Again due to the pandemic I have had to wait a year and a half to collect my prize, but it will definitely be worth the wait.
The syndicate I am a member of tend to shoot driven game around the central Scotland area, so this is where I will use the guns. I think there will be plenty trips to the clays this summer though to get used to them, so I am on form this coming season.
I think GWCT do a fantastic job in promoting our sport the correct way. They show how shooting and fishing can contribute to the conservation of the countryside.”
