The Woodcock Club Dinner returns

After a short hiatus due to covid, the Shooting Times’ Woodcock Club is back on 14 September. This year, just like in 2019, the dinner will be held at the Savile Club in Mayfair. It will be a chance for members, new and longstanding, to get together to celebrate one of the world’s greatest birds.

Membership is restricted to those who have shot a right and left woodcock and in recent years, the club has become a champion of woodcock conservation. This year, as well as hosting an auction with some wonderful lots given by Shooting Times’ friends and contributors, from shooting Argentina to muntjac stalking at the Burghley Estate, they will be hearing from Andrew Hoodless, the Head of Wetlands Research at the GWCT, about woodcock conservation and what more can be done to create woodcock habitat.

Guests will also be hearing from Tim Bonner of the Countryside Alliance about the battle to save rough shooting in Britain. We are also looking forward to announcing the launch of the Club awards for woodcock conservation.

If you have a shot a right and left and would like to join, please email the Deputy Editor of ST: Ollie.harvey@fieldsportspress.com. If you are a member and would like to buy your ticket, please visit: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/woodcock-club-dinner-2023-tickets-594643212857?aff=oddtdtcreator
