VIDEO: Artistry in Motion - Nico Venables' Pioneering Curlew Marionette Project

As part of his final studies at The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Nico Venables has built a marionette puppet of a Curlew which he believes is the first of this puppetry style.

In this video, Nico discusses his project, highlighting the importance of art in conservation efforts. Through puppetry, he aims to educate children about nature and spark their interest in conservation. The looming extinction of Curlew in Wales serves as a driving force behind his work.
