You can find out more about everything happening at The Scottish Game Fair and secure your tickets here.
All of us in Scotland are counting down the days until 4th July – and for different reasons to our friends in the USA! This year the Scottish Game fair at Scone Palace begins that day, running until Sunday 6th July and we’ve got plenty to keep everyone interested.
This year our Central exhibit shines a spotlight on how we turn cutting-edge research into practical solutions for land managers across Scotland. We are showcasing how new science is helping estates and farms adapt to important legislative changes, including the latest requirements from the Wildlife Management and Muirburn (Scotland) Act. Visitors can learn more about the new compulsory wildlife trap training standards and the introduction of licensing for muirburn, and how GWCT is providing trusted advice and resources to help practitioners ensure they are compliant. We are also highlighting our work to support nature-friendly farming under future Scottish agricultural policies. As food production and biodiversity goals come closer together, GWCT is at the forefront of developing practical, science-based approaches that benefit both farmers and wildlife. Our exhibit shares practical advice, real examples, and the latest information to help you put science into action on the ground.

Members will again receive complimentary priority parking to The Scottish Fair and will have exclusive access to the GWCT Member & VIP Enclosure across all 3 days of the fair this year. The area has been transformed for 2025 with the marquee and garden now sitting parallel to the main ring giving members the opportunity to enjoy the entertainment while relaxing in a private area. Members may invite friends and family to join them, and we hope they will be encouraged to become members before they leave!
This year members are encouraged to find their favourite food vendor at The Scottish Fair and bring their lunch into the Member’s enclosure and garden where there will be a variety of seating to use. The adjoining VIP area will be serviced by guest chefs across the weekend and their “specials” will be available for members to purchase within the enclosure. Scallops and a glass of wine courtesy of Tom Kitchin … why not?! There will also be a coffee bar with pastries and sweet treats and as always, a fully stocked bar.
Listen to the Land returns once again in both our Advisory and Listen to the Land (LttL) marquees on gunmakers row. The talks are closely linked to our central exhibit theme of “Research into Practice”. Find out more here.
We have brought together a number of panels to discuss current themes. Do come and hear from our fascinating speakers who have first-hand knowledge of what is happening at the coal face of conservation in Scotland. There will be time to put your questions across and meet many of the speakers.
We are also delighted and very grateful to welcome Linda Mellor back to host many of the talks and discussions.

Our fabulous GWCT Education Tent – “The Covey” will once again provide a fascinating insight into nature and wildlife and what we can do to help biodiversity, recycling and possible future career opportunities:
- Greenhive - Highlighting the work they do recycling waste plastics and turning them into beautiful builds with a long lifespan.
