If you haven’t heard about Stile yet, let’s explain a bit more about it…
What is Stile?
Stile is a social media app specifically designed for fieldsports, country pursuits and rural life. Post content that you feel passionate about, share knowledge and experiences, and connect with like-minded people, without the threat of account restrictions, shadow banning or trolling.
Why do we need it?
Shooting and hunting related accounts often come under fire on mainstream platforms with posts regularly being removed, accounts being blocked or restricted, and users being targeted by those who don’t understand or agree with rural life. This gets tiring, frustrating and a little disheartening, especially when you feel you are doing your best to promote the values of the countryside and land management.
We felt it was time to provide an alternative. Stile is a platform where you can post every aspect of rural life without having to jump through hoops, edit your content or be guarded about what you say.
There are no paid ads, no addictive algorithms, and you get to control the content you want to see through the category filters.
Our values
Our aim is to create digital connections and real-life experiences. The last thing we all need is to spend more time on our phones, but Stile can help you, via the location filter, to find people in your area to enjoy country pursuits with. We want to build a digital community that really is based around shared values and a love of the countryside, that gives more than it takes. No more addictive short-form content, no more ‘doom scrolling’ or comparison culture brought on by fake influencers. Stile is about real experiences, exchanging knowledge and promoting education, facilitating important conversations and promoting rural life without the background noise of other platforms.
It may only be small, but we are building solid foundations to grow a genuine community, and we want you to be part of it!
A bit about us...
Stile has been created by Ian and Rachel, a couple from Hertfordshire who have spent their entire working lives in the gun trade.
Ian has completed two gunmaking apprenticeships, specialising in finishing and rifle making and, after working for some of the most prestigious companies within British gunmaking, he established his own company in 2019. Ian is also a keen deer stalker and game shot.
Rachel grew up on a small holding and has spent her life around horses, livestock and fieldsports. Having worked for a selection of gunmakers and country clothing retailers, Rachel met Ian whilst working at Atkin Grant & Lang Shooting Ground. The couple now have two young daughters and felt motivated to create Stile to help promote and safeguard fieldsports and country life for the next generation.
