Oakbank Game & Conservation Open Day at Rotherfield

By Tim Furbank, Director at Oakbank Game & Conservation

The first Oakbank Game & Conservation Open Day is taking place at the Rotherfield Grey Partridge Reintroduction Project in Hampshire on 6th July.

Oakbank wildbird mix in second year providing ideal foraging cover for gamebird chicks

We will be looking at the habitat creation and on-going management that is being undertaken for the greys as well as discussing how the greys were reintroduced, predator control and how a limited pheasant release programme works alongside the grey partridges (see here for more).

Modified ladder trap to suit local circumstances to trap rooks and jackdaws next to a lapwing plot and wild bird seed cover.

We aim to meet at 10.30am and finish with some lunch at 1pm. We have already had a good number of bookings for this event so please let us know asap if you would like to come along. For further information and to book a place please contact the office on 01480 890686 or info@oakbankgc.co.uk
