The course will include a combination of presentations and practical sessions involving a visit to a local estate.
The course will cover habitat management, predation control and rearing and releasing methods and is designed to help ensure your partridge re-introduction project is a success. In any re-introduction project, attention to detail is paramount and the day will be run by Dr Roger Draycott and Dr Mike Swan from the Advisory Department, leading Grey Partridge Biologist Dr Francis Buner, and Dr David Butler from Perdix Wildlife, a Game Biologist who has been rearing grey partridges using extensive systems specifically designed for re-introduction projects.
Based on sound science and practical experience, the course will benefit anyone interested in looking to re-introduce or increase numbers of grey partridges on their farm.
