Find out more about farming and conservation in the South Downs. We will take a gentle two and a half hour walk, stopping now and then to look at and discuss various key options for farmland birds, such as wild bird seed mixes, insect rich areas and beetle banks, amongst many others. We will also talk about the practical ways to establish and manage these habitats over time. We will cover issues such as the "hungry gap" and predation during the walk.
The walk will be led by Bruce Fowkes (RSPB) and Peter Thompson (Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust).
