Results of this shoot can be viewed at the Countryside Alliance website.

A number of trade stands at the event (see below) will offer visitors a chance to support local Northumbrian businesses.

The shoot will consist of ten simulated game flushes:

  • Driven grouse
  • The snipe bog
  • Driven partridge
  • The rough shoot
  • Bolting rabbit
  • Woodcock
  • High pheasant
  • Teal
  • Sporting wildfowl
  • Pigeon

New for 2014 is the Starshot challenge and BASC ‘have a go’ pool shoot with professional coaching. Cartridges will be available to purchase at Whitfield. Please note we recommend 250 cartridges for the main event.

There will be a perpetual trophy for highest overall team score as well as prizes each day:

  • Top ladies team
  • Top stand score (x10) (please note teams can only win one stand)
  • Top sponsors team
  • Team 20: The George Ridley Memorial Trophy to be awarded on both Saturday and Sunday to the team placed 20th. Team 20 represents a good overall score and George was always a firm believer in giving everyone the opportunity to be a winner.

In addition there will be catering facilities alongside a bar for refreshments throughout the day. Generous feedback from 2013 suggested that trade stands would be a welcome addition to the overall event and we are delighted to welcome the trade stands listed below. Please support generously.

With thanks to our trade stand holders:
