The GWCT will be hosting a Young Shooters Day at the home of our senior Scottish advisor Hugo Straker in East Lothian. Youngsters (boys and girls) aged between 12 and 15 will have an opportunity to take part in an inspiring day of shoot tuition and basic game and shoot management developed by GWCT. This fun-filled but informative day will provide expert tuition in clay pigeon shooting and will help youngsters gain fascinating insight (sleeves rolled up for plucking, gutting, skinning and jointing!) into basic conservation skills, modern game management techniques, including a tunnel trapping competition and preparing game for the table.
Held in association with Stuart Elworthy of Mavis Hall Park Shooting School.
The GWCT is enormously grateful to the Norman Clarke fund, which has provided funding for this series of courses for youngsters. The late Norman Clarke was an immensely popular shooting instructor for Holland & Holland.
