Hosted by Purdey award winning, Allendale Estate. The estate won a Gold Purdey Award in 2017 after taking the decision to stop rearing and releasing game to focus on building a sustainable stock of wild game. This saw the estate increase grey partridge pairs from just 9 in 2012 to 82 pairs by 2017.
The estate continues to hold a stable number of grey partridges along with their continued efforts to improve the estates wider wildlife. After a recent change in management, the estate has amalgamated the conservation department and agricultural enterprise, stepping away from conventional farming methods in favour of regenerative techniques, utilising last year's SFI's schemes to improve soil conditions and further boost biodiversity.
