Shoot Walk at Lamport Hall (Northamptonshire)
The shoot walk will be led by Alex Keeble, GWCT Advisory, along with our host Mark Herrod, looking at a shoot within a commercially run farm in the higher-tier countryside stewardship scheme with strong conservation management including newly planted woodland, renewing medieval fish ponds and tendering historical grassland. Please join us at this superb location to hear about the on-going conservation commitment and moorland management from Head Keeper Richard Coates and Oliver Leatham with GWCT advisor, Matt Goodall. Oliver’s son Ben, who sells the meat from the farm in his farm shop in Leyburn and online, will lead the lowland walk to explain how the farm is being converted to regenerative and the rationale behind it, with Jennie Stafford representing the GWCT for this part of the walk.
