Taylor’s Port are delighted to announce that they are partnering with the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT), bringing the finest port to future GWCT events for a second year. The partnership commenced at the recent Game Fair at Ragley Hall, where Taylor’s Port supported the Trust at their stand.

The GWCT shares many common goals with Taylor’s including the use of scientific research to underpin sustainable conservation practice; the conservation of landscape, habitat and wildlife; and improving the biodiversity of the countryside, to name just a few. Taylor’s themselves run a sustainable vineyard model, which recognises the importance of interspersing areas of vine with natural vegetation and woodland to protect natural diversity and resilience.
Taylor’s Managing Director Adrian Bridge says: “Taylor’s has always believed that crafting exceptional port goes hand in hand with caring for the land it comes from. Our continued partnership with the GWCT reflects our shared commitment to preserving the natural environment through responsible, research-led practices. As a brand rooted in tradition and driven by sustainability, we proudly support initiatives that safeguard our rural heritage, while sharing our deep appreciation for exceptional port with those who cherish the countryside.”
Nick von Westenholz, Chief Executive of the GWCT, says: “It is great to see our partnership Taylor’s Port continuing and growing, and their support at the recent Game Fair was fantastic. I would like to thank the team at Taylor’s for making our GWCT drinks reception during the event a wonderful experience for our supporters and new ambassadors.

“I am thrilled that Taylor’s are supporting the GWCT for another year and we are very excited to continue to showcase their finest port at our events in London.
“With over 70% of the UK landscape consisting of farmland, the GWCT firmly believes that wildlife and productive land use can go hand in hand. Taylor’s sustainable vineyard approach is a strong example of this balance in action.”
In recent years, Taylor’s has undertaken many initiatives to mitigate climate change and to promote sustainability, most notably founding the not for profit Porto Protocol foundation in 2018, a global initiative dedicated to addressing climate change and promoting sustainable practices. It brings together businesses, organisations, and individuals committed to making a positive impact on the environment.
The partnership with GWCT commenced at The Game Fair, held at Ragley Hall on 25-27 July, offering visitors the opportunity to enter a raffle to win a special 5-litre bottle of Taylor’s 20-Year-Old Tawny Port. Going forward, Taylor’s will be served at GWCT events throughout the year including the Sundown Social (15 September), Wild & British Dinner (9 October), The City of London Dinner (16 October), and many more!
