Sue Evans has been appointed director at the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust Cymru (GWCT Cymru).

A wide range of game conservation projects across the country are being judged at the prestigious 2017 Purdey Awards. Judges are looking to recognise and reward the most outstanding shoot and habitat improvement projects and the deadline for entries is Monday, May 22.

GWCT is advising its members and those within the shooting community that current regulations to reduce the risk of bird flu are due to change.

Shoots are being urged to take part in a survey which reviews and assesses their performances across the season.
