The GWCT is delighted to announce the latest winner of its annual Gun Draw.
Jack London of Staffordshire was recently presented with his prize of a pair of bespoke William Powell Perdix shotguns by Andrew Gilruth of the GWCT and Mark Osborne of William Powell.
In addition to the prize of the guns, which were measured and fitted in a session with a team of professionals from William Powell, Mr London also won a day’s driven grouse shooting during the 2017 season, 500 cartridges and a double leather covered case, all courtesy of William Powell. After he had received his prize, Mr London visited the Oxfordshire Shooting School to try out his guns.
Andrew Gilruth, Director of Communications and Membership at the GWCT commented; “Our Gun Draw is one of our most popular fundraising initiative, and the money that we raise allows us to conduct new research into game management to measure and publish the positive influence it has on our countryside. We are especially grateful to William Powell who has generously donated this year’s wonderful prize.”
Mark Osborne, Managing Director of William Powell commented, “We were delighted to present Jack with his prize, and to make a pair of guns for someone who will clearly enjoy having and using them.”
Entries are now open for the 2017 Gun Draw which offers entrants the chance to win the ultimate sporting package worth £25,000, the biggest prize the GWCT has ever offered.
