The Edinburgh & South East Scotland Committee hosted their Inaugural Hip Flask Challenge on 8 November at Hampden & Co’s office in Edinburgh.
Over 60 guests enjoyed the evening at Hampden & Co - who generously put on a champagne reception with delicious canapés before the scoring got under way.
An impressive array of concoctions and colours were on display including a bright orange seabuckthorn gin, various sloe and damson gins and vodkas and even a milky whisky!
There was also a competition run to win a slab of 12 bore cartridges that were kindly provided by The Cartridge Warehouse as well as a raffle with some great prizes including a night for two with dinner and breakfast in a MacDonald Hotel of the winners choice. Both of these competitions were generously supported by the guests and along with the ticket sales enabled the committee to raise close to £1500.
The inaugural winner, with a delicious damson gin was …… Mark French who was presented with his Growler by Mark Prentice, Hampden & Co’s Head of Banking in Scotland.
GWCT Scotland and The Edinburgh & South East Scotland Committee would once again like to thank Hampden & Co for hosting the event along with all those that attended and helped make this fun evening such a great success.
