Despite the record-high temperatures last week at Llanelwedd near Builth Wells, the Royal Welsh Show 2022 still saw attendees visit in their thousands to this infamous agricultural show.

Exciting plans for the first ever GWCT Welsh Game Fair, which will be held at a historic country estate in North West Wales in September, were unveiled at a reception attended by more than 80 invited guests on Wednesday 18^th May. 

The GWCT Scottish Game Fair returns to Scone Palace in Scotland from 1- 3 July with an incredible itinerary of displays, demonstrations, have-a-go attractions and exhibitors covering everything from fishing and shooting to gundogs and falcons.

The GWCT and BASC have teamed up again to deliver a course designed to improve best practice on DIY shoots and farm shoots. The course is aimed at shoot captains, syndicate members and anyone that manages their own small shoot.

The brand new BASIS Game Management course is aimed at all individuals who have responsibility for managing a shoot, including head keepers, singlehanded keepers, estate managers, land agents, landowners, shoot managers and shoot captains.
