Bridgefoot Mill
The build begins to reclaim the beautiful pink Grampian granite Bridgefoot Mill, 26 February 2019.

Fig 2The old roof beams will all need to be replaced, new windows installed, and the internal stonework reinforced to support the entire building more securely. There will be toilet facilities installed as well as a wet lab.

This large, open-plan space will be ideal for hosting large groups of visitors, shooting parties and important dignitaries, 26 February 2019.

New roof
The new red galvanised roof is on and stonework is now being improved and reinforced, 2 May 2019.

Bridgefoot Steading complex
The entire Bridgefoot Steading complex. In the foreground, the outer porch entrance area is cladded with local timber and the building is taking shape, coming back to life once again, 7 June 2019.

Outer layers
The outer layers of the large granite building are now nearly all complete, 8 August 2019.

New beams 1   New beams 2
The internal beams are all in place with new timber and metal fastenings, 8 August 2019. The interior will be made wind tight, insulated and water tight so that the GWCT can host larger groups of visitors to our Game & Wildlife Scottish Demonstration Farm at Auchnerran. The external build is on target to welcome our first guests in late autumn, but full internal completion will most likely be summer 2020, so watch this space for more updates.
