The Gourmet Game Dinner, which included grouse and venison supplied by GWCT members, was held at Bristol’s oldest existing private members’ club, The Clifton Club, located in the heart of Clifton Village.

Hosted by the private client team at accountancy and investment management group, Smith & Williamson, and co-sponsored by Michelmores and Knight Frank, the event featured an entertaining talk by the Earl of Kilmorey, Sir Richard Needham, followed by a charity auction and raffle.

Chairman of the Bristol and North Somerset branch of GWCT, Jerry Barnes, who is also head of private client tax services at Smith & Williamson’s Bristol office, said: “The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust performs a vital role in maintaining our countryside and improving its biodiversity through the development of effective game and wildlife management techniques. The GWCT advises Government and helps inform farming and environmental policies, and we are delighted to have raised significant funds for the charity through our annual branch dinner. We would like to thank the members, sponsors and donors for their generosity.”
