The latest Savills and GWCT game and conservation benchmarking survey shows that Covid hasn’t dampened enthusiasm for fieldsports, with 80% of shoot owners expressing optimism for this season – the highest in three years.

A ground-breaking project to unlock the environmental potential of hedgerows has been given the go-ahead with a government grant of £81,561. The scheme will develop a Hedgerow Carbon Code, which will encourage hedgerow habitat improvements and provide a tool to calculate the carbon capture potential of hedgerows.

World-class shooting grounds West London Shooting School and multi-award-winning country sports group Sportarm have teamed up with the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust to host the GWCT Summer Clay Day on Thursday 9 September 2021.

Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust and the Merlin Magic project has been awarded a grant from the Government’s £40 million second round of the Green Recovery Challenge Fund, a multi-million pound boost for green jobs and nature recovery.
