Grandgrousedraw

Tickets for the GWCT GRAND GROUSE DRAW, widely considered the ultimate prize in fieldsports, are now available for a limited time.

The winner will experience an exhilarating day in pursuit of driven grouse on the beautiful Burncastle Estate, Scotland. Along with seven friends they will enjoy an unforgettable experience in search of red grouse in the Lammermuir Hills, home to some of the best driven grouse shooting in Scotland.

The prize for the winning ticket holder doesn’t end with the day on the hill. Alongside the driven grouse shooting will be a night’s accommodation for the draw winner’s team and their partners in a nearby hotel.

James Swyer, Head of Communications at the GWCT, said: “Entering the draw will help support the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust’s vital scientific research programmes for game and wildlife conservation. We aim to ensure a thriving countryside, rich in game and other wildlife. Proceeds from the Grand Grouse Draw will help us to tell a more balanced story about game management by funding new research to measure and publish the positive influence it has on the British countryside.”

The prize-winning shoot day bag will be in the region of 30-40 brace and will be taken in October 2023. Confirmation of the day will depend on the grouse counts taken before the season begins.

Burncastle Estate, near the former Royal Burgh of Lauder has approximately 9,000 acres, is situated 30 miles south of Edinburgh and is owned by The Duke of Northumberland. It is due to his generosity that the GWCT is able to offer this magnificent prize.

The Grand Grouse Draw is kindly sponsored by Hull Cartridges.

HOW TO ENTER: Visit www.gwct.org.uk/grousedraw. Tickets are priced at £40 each. The draw closes at midnight on Tuesday 24 January 2023. The draw is open to buyers from outside the UK. The winner will be notified on 3 February 2023.
