Our mission is to deliver a thriving countryside, rich in game and other wildlife. We develop and promote scientifically researched game and wildlife management techniques so that Britain’s countryside and its wildlife are enhanced for the public benefit.
We couldn’t do this without a workplace environment where dedicated people can develop their skills and be encouraged to meet our high standards.
We aim to create a workplace where:
- Our staff are engaged and inspired to perform at the best of their abilities.
- Continuous learning and development is a fundamental part of each staff member’s contribution.
- Staff have a say in our direction and feel that their contribution is valued.
- We build enduring and effective relationships with all stakeholders, whether that’s fellow staff, members, volunteers, supporters or partner organisations. These unique relationships in the rural community make our research projects possible.
- Staff are able to maintain a healthy work-life balance and receive the support necessary to achieve this.
- Sustainability and wise use of our resources are paramount.
- Everything we do is underpinned by and works towards good science.
