GWCT takes to the road in brand new series of events

With the debate around how we manage the country raging like never before, the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) are getting out and about to share their latest research and find out the issues that matter to you.

Whether it’s bag sizes or badgers, lead ammunition or licensing, there are strong opinions driving the debate on either side. The GWCT believes that research can play an important role in settling these disputes and it keen to get its message out. That’s why they have decided to launch a roadshow, touring key rural areas to give you the chance to listen to their latest findings, thoughts for the year ahead and the opportunity to raise important questions and have them answered by their team of experts.The roadshow kicks off in Gloucestershire on Tuesday 23 October, before visits to Wiltshire, Hertfordshire, North Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Tickets are just £10 and are available through the GWCT website.

Director of Communications, Andrew Gilruth, is looking forward to speaking at the events, noting “This will give members and those yet to join the chance to learn more about what’s really going on in the British countryside.”, he says. We wouldn’t be able to achieve the good work we do for the environment – either as an organisation or the nation as a whole – without the support of ordinary, hard-working people. This is their chance to share their thoughts in person”.

Andrew will be joined by members of the GWCT’s advisory team, who work closely with farmers, gamekeepers and land managers to improve their biodiversity and ensure that they are delivering the best for the environment. This is your chance to find out what they have to say. Don’t miss out.
