THE GWCT will be in attendance at this year’s Southwell Ploughing Match and Show on Saturday (8.30am to 6pm).

The ploughing match is the largest agricultural one-day show in Nottinghamshire, run by a committee comprising of local business people and rural enthusiasts.

Being held at Little Carlton, Newark, there will be horse ploughing through the vintage years to the modern-day tractor, a variety of livestock, static displays and trade stands to suit all tastes.

GWCT will be at stand 124, alongside Southwell Poultry Services, where staff will be on hand to entertain guests and give an update on its latest projects.

Regional organiser at GWCT Lottie Meeson said: “Having a presence at the Southwell Show and Ploughing Match gives the GWCT an opportunity to promote their work to a much wider audience that are country folk but not necessarily involved with country pursuits.”

If you are going, come and see us and say hello!
