We agree with this practical approach. We suggest that because traps may eventually be sold to or obtained by second-hand users and instructions might have disintegrated or been lost, manufacturers should be obliged also to make instructions available online. It would be best if these were available centrally at the same location as STAOs and associated conditions, via defra.gov.uk.
