Another GWCT Scottish Auction is now behind us – and what an evening it was! Having not gathered at Prestonfield since 2019, the enthusiasm for the party was palpable, and on a glorious evening the majority were happy to catch up with each other in the open air before settling down to a delicious dinner of seafood bisque and venison in the Prestonfield Stables.

The main focus of the evening was, as ever, the Scottish Auction, and thanks to all the generous people who provided auction lots, and many generous bidders both in the room and beyond, the auction, along with raffle and – for the first time – a GWCT-themed Heads & Tails quiz raised over £136,000. A fabulous result, which will make a real difference to the work that the GWCT can carry out in Scotland.
None of this would be possible without the generosity of our sponsors, Saffery Champness and Pentland Land Rover, with added support this year from Stable Events, to all of whom we are immensely grateful.
Last, but by no means least, my hard-working committee also need congratulation and thanks for putting together such a successful evening.
